Has anyone had success cutting the legs off of pantyhose and turning the legs into stockings?
My favourite brand for stockings was Sheertex, but they stopped making stockings this year. However, their materials are (generally) bulletproof!
So, my first thought was about making the best of a tough situation - cutting the legs off of their pantyhose and using a garterbelt, to hold them up. Sounds like a good compromise, right?
There has to be a few catches or caveats, so I looked at YouTube and a few pages. Not a lot of feedback about success doing this. I have bought a few expensive stockings, in the past, only to have them rip pulling them on, so getting this right is important.
What about frayed edges?
Selecting double-layered legs at the top (whatever they are called) should help with reliability.
Garter tabs that can actually hold onto the material seems important.
Leggings could be considered, if this works.
Practicing on cheap pantyhose seems to be prudent, at first.
Has anyone here actually tried this?
