I'm Silvana, I'm a closeted crossdresser who's been in there for too long, I want to experience what I'd be like to wear my beautiful clothes outside but I suck at makeup despite practicing, i just don't have a steady hand. Lol So that makes it super difficult to even have the guts to go out.

I look forward to perhaps have this position challenged, I'd like to find resources for maybe getting a professional makeover to see if I could look even a 10th as close to the photos from FaceApp. It makes me look gorgeous and I think if I could look close to that I would be more willing to risk going out dolled up.

Welcome to XD, Silvana. You'll find a lot of help here (not that it looks like you need any).

May I suggest, if there's a MAC store in your area, book a makeover with them. They're super trans-friendly, and they'll not only find a look for you, but give you all kinds of help in how to achieve it. Well worth the price!

Thank you, I do need help, I've been going at it rouge for so long, I don't dress as often as I'd like to and we'll some times I feel wrong about it... the makeup thing is a big issue for me, I don't think I have the courage to go to MAC and come back to my apartment building all dolled up, since I'm still deep in the closet.

Baby steps for sure, for now I'll keep saving so I can maybe go to toronto and spend a weekend there, I'd be way more likely to step outside dressed since of course nobody knows me there

It's a bit of a waste and it costs, but you could pay mac for makeover and instruction, which they will do then clean it off to go home.

Trust me the pros are so LGBTQ and trans friendly they won't blink an eye. The same as Corrine said.
Also Shoppers Drug is very good and accepting too and you can choose a location away from your normal area.

You look fabulous in that pic btw.

Hi Silvana, welcome to the forum. I’m also from the London area and it’s to nice to know there are others close by.

I also struggle with makeup but I keep trying to improve. Lately I’ve been more frustrated with my picture quality…my makeup results are improving but because my picture quality sucks so it’s hard to tell!

Yes MAC is great makeup but... the cost is crazy!! But yes they are very open and helpful. I do know what you mean, i suck at makeup to which holds me back a lot. You should try to find and "mobile makeup artist" there. They come to you, be it at your home, office, hotel etc, then you don't have to worry about going outside. I used to have one here and i loved her but her & hubby moved away yrs ago and haven't found another here. But hopefully you can find one there.
