My wigs have been pissing me off with all the tangles when I try to brush them. No matter how many times I brush it, the tangles come back very quickly.

So after researching for months I came across this video :

This is the game changer, you can thank me later.

I have some that are curly and are a pain to brush. Much prefer synthetic straight wigs or real hair.

I wash and rinse my wig in warm water.
Then I soak in warm water with a lot of conditioner in it and leave it in there until the water is cool. About 15 - 20 minutes and do not rinse out after but towel dry.
Then I comb out and apply a leave in conditioner and comb it through too. Then I shake it out and hang it on a drier frame to air dry.
When dry it is it very stiff but a quick comb through and it is soft, silky and shiny. I find this helps to ease the tangles too.

I use detangler spray on my wigs. Spray on brush it out and looks good. Need to do it eveytime, but does extend the life of a nice wig

April has been kind enough on occasion to let me wear her wigs and I can attest to how lovely they have always felt.

Yes, I use that as well and it does help. However getting it on the floor is another thing as it makes the floor slippery as H....

So ironic you said that. I got some on bathroom floor, and my wife ask what are you spraying on your hair in there. We are going to kill ourselves on our bathroom floor!☺️

Kool find👍

I use a steaming wand, it works magically. Afterwards, l use curlers and a plastic bag. The following morning l remove the curlers and lightly brush. The results are phenomenal. 😄

Think I will try this on one of my old wigs

100% Human Hair Wigs are worth the money. The amount of time I wasted trying to detangle a synthetic wig is time I will never get back. Some tips if you must tame a synthetic wig, though:
1. Make sure you have a SYNTHETIC WIG comb. They're different.
2. Steam heat in insulated bag will get the wigs in order without damaging it like a hot iron.
3. Brush from the bottom, not from the top of the head. Only brush sections at a time. If you go top to bottom, you create tangles.
4. WIG CONTROL HAIRSPRAY - it's worth it.
5. You cannot use normal conditioner for synthetic wigs. There's specialized ones.
6. Get a 100% human hair wig. Not human hair blend, not mix of synthetic and human hair,,,, just spend the money and get the human hair wigs.
